  • Kathmandu,17 Poush! The Hult Prize is a global competition that crowdsources ideas from college and university
students around the world to solve a pressing social issue. It was founded in 2009 by former President Bill Clinton and is now considered one of the world leading social entrepreneurship competitions.

Each year, the Hult Prize has a different theme, and participants are challenged to come up with innovative ideas to solve that years specific problem. Teams of students work together to develop and pitch their ideas, with the ultimate goal of turning their concepts into viable businesses or non-profit organizations. The theme challenge for this year is “Redesigning Fashion”, where participating students are required to launch an innovative social venture in the clothing and fashion industry to make it more sustainable.

LBEF Campus is excited to announce that we will be organizing the Hult Prize this year aswell and we encourage everyone to participate! This is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their ideas, gain valuable experience, and potentially turn their dreams into reality.

The competition begins at the local level, with students participating in pitch events at their respective universities. LBEF Campus will host its own pitch event, and the winning team will advance to the regional level, where they will compete against other universities in our region. The top teams from each region then move on to the global final, where they pitch their ideas to a panel of judges made up of industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.

The Hult Prize has a strong focus on impact investing and encourages participants to think about the potential social and environmental impact of their ideas. In addition to receiving funding and support to help turn their ideas into reality, winners of the Hult Prize also receive mentorship and access to a global network of resources and experts. Over the years, the Hult Prize has attracted a wide range of participants from diverse backgrounds and countries. It has also garnered support from a variety of organizations, including Fortune 500 companies and leading foundations.

LBEF Campus is excited to bring the Hult Prize to our campus and we encourage all students to participate. This is a unique opportunity to develop your entrepreneurial skills, network with like-minded individuals, and make a positive impact on the world. We encourage all students, regardless of their major or background, to consider forming a team and participating in the Hult Prize. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your ideas, gain valuable experience, and potentially turn your dreams into reality.
